We are seeking аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø members to join a steering group to oversee the next stage of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø’s planned Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) work. You do not need to be an expert in this field, but someone who is interested in ensuring that аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø is a safe, welcoming and inclusive organisation.

The remit of the group will include:

  • To advise аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø Executive Committee on EDI related projects within аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø’s work programme.
  • Advocacy and allyship for minoritised voices within the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø membership.
  • Development and support of implementing internal guidance to ensure that аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø’s work is inclusive.
  • Support аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø EC with review of frameworks and resources produced by аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø.
  • Support аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø with formulating formal responses to external documentation where relevant.

If you would like to apply but do not fit any of the roles with current vacancies then you can apply under the ‘other’ category. No previous experience of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø working groups is required and applications must be from аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø members.

Members will serve a three-year term from May 2024. It is envisaged that the full group will meet virtually three times per year, however, there may be additional meetings for any sub-groups working on specific projects. Meetings will primarily take place on-line. If a face-to-face meeting is deemed essential then аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø will reimburse reasonable expenses as per аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Íø expenses policy.
